Company's Solutions

One in four adults may experience a fall resulting in hospitalization and surgery. Losing balance for just a moment can cause irreversible damage, potentially leading to more severe consequences than many diseases. For individuals over the age of 65, bones tend to become more brittle and sparse, making even a slight fall potentially resulting in severe injury and disability.

The impact of a balance mishap can be significant, turning once active and independent individuals into dependent individuals. This moment can also signal the beginning of physical, cognitive, and mental deterioration. Unfortunately, this moment seems to catch almost everyone off guard. The question is whether or not an individual can stabilize themselves and continue without injury.

Studies show that practicing balance can be effective in preventing falls and stopping deterioration for individuals over the age of 60. However, improving balance can be challenging, as many individuals are unsure where to start or find the training boring. Even for those who manage to continue training, measuring progress can be difficult, leading to frustration and a lack of motivation.

Bobo's balance training system is an innovative technology that includes a surface with a built-in sensor that connects to an app. The app guides users through their training, measures their performance, and provides hours of engaging balance games and challenges, Bobo has transformed what was once an impossible, dull, and tedious balance training process into a fun, engaging, and addictive experience.

Prominent Case Study

A sample of 12 individuals from a rest and care home in Belgium was selected to assess their improvement in walking, balance, fear of falling, and quality of life after rehabilitation sessions on the Bobo interactive platform. The subjects were chosen based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The study lasts 4 weeks, consisting of 3 weekly 30-minute sessions. During each session, the resident performs 3 designated games, each repeated twice. The Tinetti test, 6-minute walk test, Timed Up and Go, and Berg Balance Scale was used to evaluate gait and balance.

The results indicated a significant improvement in balance and gait after 4 weeks of training on the Bobo.
